The Performance Maximizer tool of Intel overclocks CPUs with one click

The Performance Maximizer tool of Intel overclocks CPUs with one click. Intel has introduced a fresh function to make overclocking easier. Called the “Intel Performance Maximizer,” the tool looks at the individual environments of your processor and then utilizes what Intel calls “hyper-intelligent automation” to tweak them to increase performance. It’s basically overclocking without having to fiddle yourself with custom BIOS settings.

This kind of instrument is nothing fresh — AMD provides a comparable tool for its Ryzen processors — plus, it is only compatible with a couple of Core CPUs of the 9th generation. In reality, only six of them are: Core i9-9900KF, Core i9-9900KF, Core i7-9700KF, Core i7-9700 K, Core i5-9600KF and Core i5-9600KF. However, like just a few other instruments (for instance, NVIDIA’s), it does everything automatically and should, in principle, generate efficiency levels comparable to those obtained with a single click in manual overclocking.

This is not necessarily the case, according to Jim Tanous at PCPerspective, and better outcomes can still be obtained through tinkering around in the BIOS. However, the distinction in performance between doing this and using Intel’s tool was not important, so those looking for a no-fuss manner to get a performance boost rapidly and safely will certainly welcome the feature. It’s free to download the Intel Performance Maximizer here.
