Google says Huawei Mate 30 doesn’t come with Google Apps. Huawei’s upcoming flagship smartphone, Huawei Mate 30, will not be loaded with Google’s official applications. Google, the U.S .- based tech giant, told the media that the upcoming Huawei smartphone will not be shipping with Google’s official apps and services.

The Google said the US ban had prevented US-based firms from doing business with Huawei. Huawei’s Mate 30 smartphone “can’t be sold with licensed Googled apps and services,” a Reuters story about the topic.

The future of the Chinese company remains uncertain as the U.S. government had previously prohibited Huawei from doing business with it, preventing U.S.-based companies from doing business with it. The ban saw major businesses with Huawei pulling out of their business partnerships. The US ban on Huawei was subsequently temporarily lifted for 3 months by authorities.

Also, this month was announced a second temporary 3-month lift. While citing the reasons for Mate 30, Google said that Huawei’s existing products and services were only relieved by the temporary lifting of the ban. Huawei’s future products and services remained under the U.S. ban umbrella.

This information scoop also means that all of Huawei’s upcoming products might not be packaging Google’s official applications. Google’s Android operating system would still power the Huawei Mate 30 smartphone and other similar applications, as this OS is primarily open source.
